About Marla Rush Parnell
Marla paints a variety of subjects and is best known for her paintings of animals and commissioned portraits of pets.
Her work is in public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe, including a painting in the permanent collection of The AKC Museum of the Dog in New York City.
Marla works in both soft pastels and acrylics, and each medium allows her to express her signature style of realism infused with surprisingly vibrant colors.
When she’s not playing with paint in her studio in Bolivar, Missouri, Marla loves spending time with her husband, Hue, a studio potter, and their two Shetland Sheepdogs.
